The Best Banana Bread you will EVER eat!
Do you have family traditions at the Holidays? Most families do. Whether it is a certain food, a specific place you go to see Christmas lights, or even decorating for the holidays the day after Thanksgiving. My family tradition is banana bread. And let me tell you…my mom’s banana bread is the most amazing banana bread you will EVER eat! I have looked forward to this every year at Christmas for as long as I can remember.
Boy, did you pick the best day to come read my blog! Today, with my mom’s permission, I am sharing her banana bread recipe! She makes tons of other breads but her banana bread is what everyone looks forward to at this time of year. Her bread is so good that once you try it, you will be spoiled and will never want another bite of banana bread again, unless it is her recipe.
My family used to own a catering truck business and my mom would always make tons and tons of mini loafs of this bread and it would sell out at her first stop. Now, she makes it only at Christmas and it is everyone’s favorite gift. If you don’t try this recipe you are missing out.
Below I have the recipe to your next holiday tradition, and the last banana bread recipe you will EVER need:

Items you will need- loaf pans like these:
Hand mixer:
Mixing Bowl:
First preheat your oven to 325 degrees and lightly grease a loaf pan or your mini loaf pans. Set aside.
- 3 medium ripe bananas- the browner the better!
- 1 egg
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 tbsp melted butter or margarine
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- Walnuts (optional)
Mix together the bananas, egg, sugar, and melted margarine. Then, slowly add the dry ingredients, flour, salt, baking soda and walnuts if you want, by stirring or using a low speed on a hand mixer. Once all ingredients are combined pour into your loaf pan or mini pans. Bake for 55 minutes for large loaf pan, or 30-35 minutes for mini loaf pans. Enjoy!
Once you have tried it let me know what you think!!
Oh my gosh! This looks just like my grandmas banana bread recipe, and it seriously is the best! Making it in mini loaf style is my favorite! I don’t know if you have ever tried using it for French toast but it is seriously out of this world. On rare occasion I make a Bananas Foster French Toast with this banana bread. It’s one of my husbands favorites.
Mmmm…that sounds amazing!!! I will have to try it!

Ohh.. It’s yummy. Loved it. Will try once.
This looks so good! I think I will need to add bananas to my grocery list so I make some banana bread!!! I never made it before but I think I will give it a go.
It’s super easy! Just make sure your banana’s are spotty and like I said, the browner the better! This helps make your bread moist!
Nice
Sounds easy enough , I’m awful at baking and this seems super easy .
it is pretty hard to mess this one up! Just make sure your banana’s are brown. That is the key 🙂
I absolutely LOVE banana bread! I can’t wait to try this recipe!

It’s funny because I hate to eat banana just like a fruit, but as a bread or cake, I really love it!!! Thanks for the recipe 🙂 Is always good to have some potassium in my organism!
Yum! I love banana bread. Looks fantastic!
The toddler and I LOVE banana bread, and I often make it as muffins just for on-the-go ease. I haven’t made any in awhile, perhaps I’ll try this one. I add applesauce in mine instead of egg, she’s super allergic. You have a super easy recipe, love it!
i will try it..
looks yummy.
